From Cowboy Disco to Howl-O-Ween — Border Buds celebrates pets, pumpkins, and community spirit in New Buffalo, Michigan.
On Friday, October 3rd, Border Buds had the honor of sponsoring and attending one of the area's hottest charitable events — the Michiana Humane Society's annual Fur Ball Gala! Every year this incredible event raises tens of thousands of dollars to support the Michiana Humane Society, located in Michigan City, Indiana. We strive to be the pet friendliest dispensary in New Buffalo, Michigan so of course, we jumped on the opportunity to get involved and support such a worthy organization!
This year's theme was 'Cowboy Disco'. The weather was perfect - a warm evening for October in a town on the coast of Lake Michigan. The venue, White Oak Farm, was gorgeous and inviting and filled with the perfect balance of cowboy and disco vibes. Everyone enjoyed delicious local food, refreshing drinks, upbeat music and the star of the show? The Border Buds Selfie Station! That's right - the Border Buds Selfie Station that you typically see in our lobby - was put to good use by Fur Ball guests! You can view/download the photos in the album below! (If you attended and are here for your photos - friendly reminder that you did receive a raffle ticket in your goody bag that expires on 10/13! Use it before your pup misses out on the chance to get a new TSA approved travel food bag, and over $100 worth of top shelf dog cbd products!)
Why are we so passionate about your pets at Border Buds? The obvious answer is that your pets are your family, and we like to treat our customers as if they are part of our family - so that means your pets are our family too. It started on a very warm day in the late spring of this year. A customer had their pup in the car and we were concerned about it overheating. One thing led to another and now we keep a fresh bowl of water outside of our door, blue buffalo brand treats in store or curbside, and we offer pup cup brand flavored pup cups every Wednesday! All we ask in return is that you keep your fur bestie on a leash.
We are also hosting a "Howl-O-Ween" event on October 18, so dress up your pup and stop in for a doggy bag filled with a halloween theme tennis ball, full size bag of cbd treats & a few more surprises - while supplies last!
We look forward to growing our partnership with the Humane Society by continued collaborations like the furball. Who knows what is next! Adoption events, Vaccine clinics, Microchip clinics, Spay & Neuter events? No one knows for sure, but we do know that we have found a local organization that officially has our heart, and cannot wait to work together again!
A huge "Thank you" to everyone that supported this event with a sponsorship or by attending! We hope you will all stop in (with your leashed furry best friend) to Border Buds in New Buffalo, Michigan very soon to see why we are the most welcoming dispensary to your pets!
